I had a similar problem with my HU. Swapped RCAs and a bunch of other stuff. Moving the ground for the HU solved it for me. Have you tried different grounds for the deck?

Just to clarify - The power cable for the amp runs straight to the battery, correct? Did you put an inline fuse on the power cable within 18" of the battery? Never a good idea to disconnect the ground from the amp while power is flowing. Either remove the inline fuse at the battery or, better...

I believe it is the square root of 180 x 4 = 26.8v I use this site to get my info. Just plug in your watts and ohms to get your voltage.

Blue to remote turn on on HU, green to parking brake lead off HU, grey to ground.

I had the same issue with my 300/2. Turned out it was a bad FET or two. Haven't had it repaired yet, but JL has will fix the Slash amps for a flat $125 if it is out of warranty.

What do the high level (speaker) outs do in two or three-way? If it doesn't affect the output of those leads, run the rear speaker high level out from the HU to the Alpine MRP-F300?

Interesting. Using a 0db 1khz sine wave on CD mine didn't clip at all. 50hz clipped at 39. Great HU!

Here's what I did when I had my Z. There is a large piece of foam in the rear left hand corner that can be removed. Gives you a lot of space for a fiberglass enclosure.

Another thing to check. Make sure that the 8400 isn't in app mode when the iPhone is connected. It probably isn't, just thought I would throw that out there.
