If the stuff that was stolen was getting outdated, and your friend had an insurance policy with a full value replacement type feature he could have set up the break-in to not only get all new stuff, but sell the old stuff.

Louder is generally more impressive. Reaching 150db @ 50hz will be much cheaper than 150db @ 30hz...But that is on tones man. On music you will encounter 50hz bursts and 30hz bursts intermittently.. Don't even worry about DB for now...Just keep doing your research until you find the system...

Yea clueless people always tend to unintentionally abuse high quality gear because it will take abuse without showing any signs of damage...I don't even know how some of these people find themselves owning the DMX's..They just seem to get them and abuse them until the clipping or wrong/poor...

For all intents and purposes it's comparable to a Sundown Audio Nightshade v.2...However the DMX's materials and construction are second to none, and it's probably on the beefier side than the Nightshade imho.

I've paid $150 for a blown DMX15-Stage 2, I'd be all over that...Offer him $100 and see what he says ^^ then go up to $150...But keep in mind it's well worth $200, these are really Badarse subs.

Nightshade 15"s are $550 ish each...And that is if you can even find them, which you probably won't. I can get you into a pair of BNIB SA-15's around your price range...Or a single 15" or 18" Sundown Z series sub..

Would probably $500+ used for 1600w rms of DD anyway...You know DD does not come cheap AT ALL. But hey just be skeptical and lowball the hell out of him even more per usual..lol
