    Better Amp for These Subs?

Brand loyalty is pointless. I want what gives the best results. I just don't know if the results are worth the hassle.

    Better Amp for These Subs?

Bump. I notice the PR500 and Hifonics BXI 610 (500 and 600 watts RMS respectively) both have 60a fuses, while my Kenwood (500 watts RMS) has a 40a fuse. With a 40a fuse, they Kenwood would be physically impossible of putting out 500w RMS at 12.4 volts, even if it were 100% efficient (which it's...

    Better Amp for These Subs?

Yeah but will the PR500 offer any gain whatsoever over my Kenwood KAC-7204?

    Better Amp for These Subs?

Bump. I'm selling my Kenwood KAC-7204 this weekend for $150. Need something about around $200 if possible but $250 if there's something really good to power them with.

    Memphis S Class 12" Subs

I can't say whether the subs are any good or not, but I can tell you there's definitely better for your money.

    Worth upgrading for $100?

Sorry. Right now I have a Kenwood KAC-7204 that gives 250 watts per channel at 2 ohms. I could ditch it for $100 and get something else. So, let's try this. Assume my budget is $300 for two subs and amp. Is there anything significantly better than what I have to make it worth the hassle?

    Help Now Pleeease!!!!!

No. Your options are 1 or 4 ohms if the amp is one channel. If it's an AB amp, you can wire them 2 ohms on each channel.

    Worth upgrading for $100?

I have two Memphis 15-PR124D's; the older PR 12's. I can sell them for $100-$150 to a friend. I'm looking for 2 12's in the $200-$250 (total) range. Is there anything significantly worth upgrading to in this price range or would you advise I keep the PR's until I'm ready to take a bigger step up?

    Better Amp for These Subs?

Alright. I bought them from a friend that had them running at 1 ohm off a Lanzar Vibe 286. I got the subs at $100 total from him and he offered the amp at $100 as well but he removed the top panel to expose the inside as part of the aesthetics for his set-up and ended up losing it. He said he...

    Better Amp for These Subs?

They're in a box I made out of 3/4" MDF. All said and done, the interior volume is approximately 3.5 cubes (one chamber with two subs) ported to 35 hz. I did a lot of research before I built this box; it's not like I'm a complete noob and just slapped some wood together. Also, with the PR1.1000...

    Better Amp for These Subs?

I'm running two Memphis 15-PR124D's; the older PR 12's. They say they take 250w RMS and 500w peak, and right now I have them running off a Kenwood KAC-7204. They're wired one sub to a channel with the voice coils in parallel so that each channel sees a 2 ohm load. According to Kenwood, the amp...
