10's or 8's...worried about low end.

Once again you show up to the party uninvited. I say again, I didn't flame anyone for their opinion, ever. And I certainly never said I wasn't open to facts. My statement only involved my personal experience. So you who have far more in car audio, do know more. So I asked which one has done it...

Jesus Cot....did you skip over words? I said that like twenty times. I also said I know it SHOULD be possible like three pages ago, I just haven't seen it.

You know that WOULD answer my question if you only used four. My question was just to see it.

I knew you were gonna reply, with the m ost innane and sTUPID thing you could come up with. Idiots and forums come dime a dozen and your opinion is worth a dollar twenty.

As i said in the beginning....I haven't heard it cleanly. Meaning without distortion. As for the why, there is no reason beyond sound quality. The cleaner the system sounds the better it will sound. And you are absolutely right I haven't heard the JL's in a proper setting to say they can't...

Here's why http://www.answers.com/topic/subwoofer?cat=technology. And to further prove my statements http://www.velodyne.com/products/specs/cht_r.html Velodyne is one of the best subwoofer suppliers in the world. The specs continue to prove beyond a resonable doubt, that 8" subs DO NOT go as low...

OK I have never seen an 8 inch sub play cleanly at 20Hz ever. I have heard of lots of things in Home audio, ie, Bose makes some of the best sounding speaker. None of it has ever been true. I base my thoughts on reality. Things I can prove, not with my words, but with proof. If you have proof...

And the answer you give is pretty much what I expect.....but as I have said I only want an example of it being successfully done. I know that with the combined cone area, it should work. But as I have said, I know home audio, you don't get more drivers. I just want an example.

As I said in the beginning you sir have NO answers so you revert to flaming to cover your own ineptness. I didn't call your name, when I asked the question. SHOW me an instance where, without distortion, an 8" sub hits 15-20 Hz. Without the random and idiotic name calling

Because the specs SAY they can't. Not me but the company.

none of them go that low at all, not cleanly but distortion is alright I guess. nvm....

I still see the flames in the distance, with no forthcoming answer. Just words, what driver of the 8" variety, specifically gets into the 15-20 Hz range. An example of even one would satisfy me. Other than that, I am forced to continue believing that the flames are the answer, not to my question...
