I have a JBL GTO 8 in a sealed FG stealthbox, ~ .5cf, getting 200rms, sounds good, I just wanted to enhance my music not rattle windows or neighbors, but it will rattle the car if i turn it up. Inexpensive but a good one.

that's what a lot of people do is what you are thinking. Just make sure you try to match up the sub and the amp's power when bridged so you get the most from the system.

If you truly have 30W rms, then just about any comp set that has a sensitivity rating of 90 or better would sound pretty good. I have Focal 165 A1 comps running off my OEM HU which may put out 15w rms (BIG may), so lets say 10W. These focals have a rating of 91, and they get plenty loud for...

The main power cable that runs from the battery back to the amp SHOULD have a fuse w/in 18" of the battery/power wire connection. disconnect the negative wire from the car battery, then you should be able to take the fuse holder in the power wire apart to check the fuse. If it looks smoked...

look for some efficient speakers, with a db rating of 90 or better, that sound good to you. most below a rating of 90 will not sound good. Focal & Hertz have good db ratings

I found using a wooden spatula that has a slanted end works better that a roller, a bit longer, thinner and can smooth/press the deadener on fairly well. Cheap at wally world.

just get a distro block that uses/provides a reducer so you can put 8ga in one of the 4ga connections.

look for a bundle of wires that already go thru the firewall, if there is a rubber boot/large rubber grommet with wires running thru, slip it thru that or cut a slit in the rubber boot and use a coat hanger to run it thru.

the glue used on pvc pipe does dry almost clear, but dont know if it would hold on the mdf part of the equation. can you paint the other types of glue???
