This is a mint condition amplifier that was used for less than 1 month. It comes with original box, cd manual, birth sheet with quality control sign-off, and 1 balanced line transmitter. I will also include an 18 inch Symbilink cable for free. $420 Shipped.

Forgive me for being new to this..Can someone please explain what optical connections are for? Are these solely for connecting head units to cd changers, sound processors, etc.? Optical cannot take the place of rca speaker connections I assume?

I'm a little confused as to how this amplifier is rated. It states that it has 100 watts per channel at 4ohm and 75 watts at 1.5 to 3ohm for the front and rear channels. Why does the power rating go down with less resistance?

Fair enough...as mentioned earlier, everyone will have their own opinion and there will never be a consensus, so I don't know how much these answers actually help anyone...everyone needs to listen for themselves...

Better in what way? I assume you have heard/owned the Polk, then?

I used to start threads like this elsewhere and what usually happens is you'll get about a half dozen people offering several different name brands, with the final result being that there is no consensus opinion and, therefore, no resolution. I'll throw one out there anyway...go for the Polk SR.

I do not have the trim ring, btw. Here is one more pic.

The face is in very good shape and there are no worn off letters. I used it for about a week and there were no issues with any buttons. I do not think I have the trim ring, but I can double check when I get home tonight. I used a separate trim ring that came with my dash kit.

This is a pretty popular unit and everyone on here probably knows the specs... PLEASE NOTE: When you attempt to eject or insert a cd, the motorized face does not fully open. Therefore, you typically have to manually nudge the motorized face slightly to allow for the cd slot to be 100% clear...
