I believe the 363 tells you to set the amps gain to 0 and they set the signal accordingly when you do the configuration. Thats how I have my sub amp setup, You shouldn't smell anything unless you are overpowering at that point.

Just want to bump, I have had the DD m2a for years, it has been solid and I've run it .5 ohm loads, 1 , 2 and it just performs well. Never had issues with protect even with extreme voltage drops in my shitty electrical. GLWS

hey just looked up both woofers and 400 watts is not much of a difference as someone said, but the w3 sensitivity is 87.15 while the type X is 84.3. This is significant enough to make the type X power hungry to get the cone moving. Personally I would've stuck with the w3 and or get two of them...
