    alternator whine with different amps

The strange thing is the whine became apparent when I switched from one amp to another w/o changing anything else. Originally I had my comps bridged off a four channel amp running no subs and I had no audible whine. I then switched out the four channel amp for an mtx 282 and suddenly I had...

    alternator whine with different amps

A few months back, I was running my comps and subs off of an old school sony four channel amp with no problems. I eventually switched it out for two mtx 2 channel amps and now I have alternator whine. I'm using the exact same wires I was using before except for an extra power and ground wire...

    What bookshelf speaks?

I know audiophiles (who have worked for speakers companies themselves like JBL) who say Paradigm are the absolute best for the money. But sound is still a preference so let your ears decide. It will be tough to make a decision w/o first hearing them.

Quick and simple, Not like Last nite.

Boston cl 60's aren't anything special. I wouldn't recommend them if you are even considering them. They are decent, but much better speakers can be had for ~ $200-$250.

    What bookshelf speaks?

Yep, I think the Atom's are the most accurate speaker at this price point.

    COLD PLAY Concert.......

I would say something derrogatory, but I'll hold it back since you drive a 4runner. Anyway IMHO Coldplay and Oasis are good, but not great. Nowhere near torture.

    What bookshelf speaks?

    Paradigm Atom's or Titan's - the most accurate speakers for ~ $200. http://www.paradigm.com/Website/SiteParadigmProduct/ParadigmProduct.html

Real noob at HT... Can i use 10w3v2? Amps?

Home audio is vastly different from car audio. Unless you have prior experience, I would not recommend building your own sub enclosure. Acoustics in a room are very different from acoustics in an automobile. Speaker companies spend lots and lots of time on research of how to get a flat...

    good shelf stereos

For $150, you could get the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and hook it up to your computer. Might sound better than a shelf system. I dunno

How will this speaker system be?

doesn't look bad considering the price. But on that budget, I wouldn't do rear fill unless you really want it.
