Hey guys it's been a while since I've been on here but I got tons of good advice and help last time so I came back. I have the audioque hdc3 12" paired with the Hifonics Brutus BRZ 1000.1D (I googled my amp, but all I can see is 1200 now, but almost certain it isn't a 1200) I did the big 3 on...

Something isn't right tho, this amp should push this sub just like the AP amp, they are the same wattage @ 2 ohms, and the AP amp was plenty enough bass for me, flexing my window is plenty. So this amp should be able to do the same thing but it's not.

I know people can turn their stereo's up to like 40 and stuff mine only goes to 20 before distortion starts up. The higher I crank my stereo tho the more bass I get.. Of course the more distortion I get form my 6x8's :\

Rode home and the amp is getting warm like it's working.. Just weak tho. I turned bass boost off and I will set it with a dmm later.. Can I set it with just regular rap music instead of the 50hz tone? I don't wanna take my subwoofer wires out of the amp lol I'm lazy. Also I forget don't you put...

The dial is 9v which is lowest and .2v which is highest gain. I have it set on 2v. Which is nearing the maximum gain. Anything lower is just bad. I have my subwoofer output on 11 instead of 15 for less distortion.

Alright guys I got a update! So i got my brz1200.1D and now I can officially (i think atleast) say that the AP was a manufacturer defect. I put the brz on the exact same way, and it's doing fine. It doesn't smoke wooooo! Lol. That's the good news. Bad news is this thing is not very powerful in...

It was over 50 $ more from the store I buy from. This isn't final, I may return it and buy the 1700 I just wanna try this and see if the AP was garb or if its me.

I wish I woulda gotten the d2 audioque sub so I could play at 1 ohm. I either have to go 2 ohms or .5 ohms and The amp is only 1 ohm stable. So 2 ohms it is. I've done big 3 in 4 gauge knuconcepts wire.
