What do u mean I won't be putting much power through it? Like it won't be turned up as loud?

i mean that amp is rated at 1000W RMS, but i think ppl have clocked it at 950Wish RMS at 1Ohm. tat sub is rated at 1200W peak and 600RMS. i just dont want to risk damage to the sub if i have it turned up a lot to show off

you guys dont think i can run this sub at 1000W RMS without damage? HDS210 id figured since im installing 4 gauge, might as well just get the dual 2Ohm VC and wire it down to 1Ohm to run at 1000W RMS.

ok, last question. im using 4 gauge wire from alt to the battery and i know 4 gauge wire takes 125A fuse, however i only have a 80A fuse. would that be sufficient?

no, i just cheaped out when i bought the wiring kit and had some left over 4 guage from the big 3 upgrade to use as ground for the amp. In the big 3 upgrade, is it really necessary to fuse the alt+ to Batt+ wire? If so, what size fuse?

also, when i did my big 3 upgrade, i did not fuse the alt wire. is it really necessary to fuse it? and what fuse size should i use?

alright! made up my mind finally! lol im getting the Sound Qubed HDS210. Should be perfect for what im looking for! ill get the Dual 4Ohm version so i can wire it to 2Ohm for 650W RMS. I dont think my 8 gauge power wire will handle 1000W RMS and i really don't want to re run 4 gauge power wire.
