    Wiring Estimate

For the deck it will about $15 for a wiring harness for your car. As for the amp, it depends what gauge wiring you need based on how much juice you're running. I'd say spend the extra couple of $$ and get it installed by a shop.

amp caught fire. what happend? and what to do?

I smoked my alpine amp when I first installed it. Got a little too hasty and let a very small part of the power wire touch the ground terminal (...ouch) but when I was told it was fried, I smiled, asked for a new fuse, and to this day it runs without a hitch.

How do I keep my car from rattling?

Dynamat original is so poor I got it handed to me for free. I put 2-3 layers around trouble spots in my trunk before it began to even make a notable difference. I used brown bread on my license plate and in my hatch, and it made a world of difference in one layer. note: I don't have that loud...

    Possible to bridge a deck?

I was wondering if anyone has ever cut their deck to 2 channels to run the fronts, then run a component set in the rear speakers off of a 2ch amp? Any technologically inclined people know if this is possible? I can't see a reason it wouldn't be, however my grasp of car audio is fairly simple. :S
