    Gain?

How would that math translate into a multi channel amp? If you're running a 4 channel amp at 2.7 ohms, and the amp is rated at 120 rms at 2 ohms, 71 at 4 ohms...would you go by the 2 ohm number, 120 watts X 4 = 480, 480 X 2(ohms) = 960. 960 squared is 30.98, so set the gain at 31?

I can't test this right now as I have the whole car torn apart waiting for my speakers to show up. In the meantime, I'm wondering...if I put a higher output 4 channel amp in there, would it allow me to turn the gain down more and still have the save volume levels?

I'll have to check that. If I lower my gains, do I just turn the volume higher on the deck and it even's out?

Okay, I've tried a few more things in the last few weeks with no luck. First, I ran the ground from the deck back to the amp ground location...didn't work. Then I ran a different set of RCA's from the deck, over the seats, to the amps so as to be as far from any interference sources as...

How can I isolate the source to determine if it's the head unit ground, amp ground or rca's? If run a wire from the head unit ground back to where the amp is ground, would that help me eliminate one of the options? Also, should I have the sub and 4 channel amp grounded on the same bolt, or...

Okay, Bahn...I picked up some good stuff from my local dealer. 4awg ground and ends, and ran each ground to a bolt on either side of the metal bracket that holds the middle of the two back folding seats in. Bracket is steel, and the bolts go right into the frame. Sanded down to bare metal...

I am going to try that ASAP! Thanks for the info Does it matter what type of wire I use for ground? If I get a 4awg that's your typical hundreds of tiny threads wire, or something from home depot that's less but thicker strands?

Need advice on running the hot from battery through fire wall.

Depends on your car. It seems the newer they are, the harder it is to get to the firewall from the engine compartment...there's always been some other type of divider in my cars. However, I've always been able to find a spot to go through as well without drilling...just a different kind of...

Head Unit stays on. Wired wrong or setting I can't find??

Greetings All, So, installed my audio in my new '12 Beetle over the weekend. Everything went well except my head unit is staying on when I turn the car off and pull the key. It's a Kenwood 995. I used the cam/bus harness and It was pretty straight forward. No steering wheel controls and no...
