If it does it when it's not connected to anything then there is a problem with your iPhone and not the deck.

My 13w6v2 I had a couple of years ago. I sold my car and didn't have room in my truck so I sold it. I wish I would have kept it and sold it for practically nothing.

I keep all of my music on my iPhone and run my USB connector/iPhone cable into a little cubby that the Camry has right below the deck/air controls. It also has a flip down door so when I'm not in my car I can hide all of the wires in there.

Because I would rather not buy more if I don't have to. It's not a big deal either way. I haven't had any problems so far with the wires I have now. It was just a thought that crossed my mind as I was trying to shove the wires into the terminals. Just seems like it would be easier that way. But...

Because the speaker wire I use is too big to fit it in the terminal twice and I'm afraid that it will come loose and burn up a voice coil. Doing it the other way I wouldn't have to worry about any wires coming loose.

I've got a question that has to do with the OP's wiring concern. Say I have a DVC sub that have the spring connectors and am wanting to wire it parallel, instead of using a wire to connect both positives, a wire to connect both negatives, a wire to connect positive to amp and a wire to connect...
