has anyone took a 4/3/2 channel amp, used it as a 2 channel amp briged, hooked one channel to one side of a dvc sub and hooked the other channel to the other side of a dvc sub?? how did it work

i have a set of cross overs that have mid range and tweeter output and 1 input. they cant really handle as much power as the amp pushes out bc when i crank it, it lights up the back of my SUV and looks as if a cop is behind me... would it be better for loud+ clear purposes to install the cross...
