will the crossover help make things sound better...or will it pretty much sound the same

Hey i have a HU that has 3 rca outputs .. one of them is for subs and it says its running the subs in mono .. does that make the sound quality worse..or distorted..also with all these outputs do i need a crossover i plan on running three amps .. two for my subs and one for my fronts and mids..??

i have a 2nd battery .. it a US amp battery SPL- 1000 does any1 know if its a good battery also the best way to wire it....do u think it would be better to run 3 amps to that battery and my crossover to my regular battery or run it all to one battery>??alsoo any down side to puttin the...
