    Yes, this entire install is being built with a "stealth" purpose which is why I want carpet for the back. So are you saying that any carpet without a backing will work in my situation?

    My friend used it when he competed, however, I have not been able to get a hold of him, so it exists. And yes without the backing bass should be able to sound just fine going through it. Its the same type of material used to carpet boxes
