Old school Alpine CDA-7842, Anyone know how to change ai-net into rca aux for iPod???

Hey everyone, thanks for all your help! I finally figured it out! There's a secret AI-net switch under the HU chassis, I switched it and viola, it worked!!! Thanks a lot everyone, now I have an excellent HU with an aux!!!!

Old school Alpine CDA-7842, Anyone know how to change ai-net into rca aux for iPod???

OK so I found out that if I connect a switch from the pink/black wire and ground the switch, that causes the HU to display "interrupt." Then, when I play my iPhone, it almost works :/ Basically the HU has both a front and rear output and when I play my iPhone, only the "rear out" works. I can...

Old school Alpine CDA-7842, Anyone know how to change ai-net into rca aux for iPod???

I have the AI-net to RCA jack, but I'm not sure which wire/s on the HU needs to be connected, and where they need to be connected, in order for the Ai-net to recognize my iphone. I basically want to fool the HU into thinking my iPhone is a CD changer! Any help would be awesome, thanks in advance!!!

Subs are very quiet until volume is at 75%

Thanks Dark Scorpion, I finally got the chance to take the EQ out of the equation, and that turned out to be the culprit! Now it's time to upgrade to an Audiocontrol Four.1i!!!!!

Audiocontrol Four.1...Is there anything else that compares for less $$$ ????

Basically my old preamp died and I want a high voltage in dash line driver that has 2 sets of inputs. I have an Awesome older Alpine HU with no AUX inputs so that's why I need the extra AUX. I'm very impressed with the Audio control Four.1 because it has all I need and then some! I just don't...

Subs are very quiet until volume is at 75%

Hey Everyone, I figured it out, I had my high pass gains too high. I turned them down a bit and now the amp only gets slightly warm! The best part is that I can still run the gain for my sub almost all the way up! I dunno, but thanks for everyone's help and input!!!

    powerbass amps

Hey, I have the 1100.5 amp running all my components and 1 12" P3 sub. the sub is dual VC and is bridged. My amp gets extremely hot and goes into protection mode after about an hour. I wouldn't think my speakers are too much for this amp! Any ideas???

Subs are very quiet until volume is at 75%

Well I lowered my gains and that helped a little, but I should try taking the preamp out of the pic, good idea! Any reason why I should do this though?

Subs are very quiet until volume is at 75%

I checked every connection, ground is solid. I even did the big 3 ground upgrade. My amp switches fron 2 to 4 to six channels and when I switch to 4 or 2 channels, the bass turns back on but at half the output! Anyway, thanks!

Actually, my HU was the first Alpine to come out boasting 4volt pre out. It's honestly like 16 or 17 years old lol! It's an awesome deck tho! I know I need to upgrade lol! Unfortunately I'm not sure which model it is, I guess I should go outside and check haha!

Subs are very quiet until volume is at 75%

Ok I'm totally confused about this one... Here's what I've got, an Alpine HU, an autotek preamp, a powerbass ASA 1100.5 amp, and a 12" Fosgate P3 sub. What's happening is when I first turn on my system, everything turns on fine, the mids and highs are working perfect but the sub is playing at a...
