Think aobut building a 383 stroker

Hm...thanks for the opinion. Now that I look into it, that kinda how I'm leaning. Someone also said I should look into a 327, know much about that? Any ideas what kind of horsepower and torque I could get out of either the 327, 355, or 383? And which would be the hardest to build? Sorry for all...

Think aobut building a 383 stroker

It's (probably) going in my '87 Camaro to replace my girlie 305. I want it to be a street car, but I want something that could get a good 1/4 mile time. Top speed isn't too important.

Think aobut building a 383 stroker

So, I know my way around engines pretty well (I'm not an expert, but I could do just about anything with my engine given time and some research). And I'm thinking about building myself a 383 stroker, starting with a 350 bare block, and getting the pieces as I need. Anyone ever do anything like...

Help with sub popping when turning car off

Ok, so I got two Audiobahn AW1006T's in a ported box (by the way, I love them), but when I turn my car off, the subs give a little "pop". Anyone know what causes this, if it's bad, and what I can do to fix it? Thank you in advance.

    87 Camaro Hatchback

Another question. I have the box right behind the rear seats, on the little plateau, or whatever you'd call it. Someone once told me that I can't drill there because the gas tank is right under it. Does anyone know if this is true or where I could find out? And if it is true, how can I get my...

    87 Camaro Hatchback

I have an 87 Camaro, and I have two Audiobahn AW1006T's in my hatchback, pointed up at my hatchback window. They is about 3-4 inches of space between the window and the subs. My hatchback window rattles quite a bit when I really get them thumpin'. Anyone else have this problem or know any...

you might be obsessed with car audio if...

...While watching "Back to the Future", you hear Doc say that the time machine needs 1.21 gigawatts, and you immediatly think to yourself, "If only I could send that kind of energy to my subs..."

    Audiobahn Flame Q AW1006T

So here's my story. About a year ago I went and got myself two 10" Alpine Type-Rs and a Rockford P3001 (sending out 150W to each of my subs at 2 ohms) for my 87 Camaro. I put them each in a seperate 1 cu. ft. chamber, sealed. My headunit is a Alpine CDA-9831 (which I love). Anyways, my Type-Rs...

    Trouble with my amp/subs/electric

Hey fellas, just wanted to let you know I think I got it figured out. My amp and capacitor were both grounded to the same bolt, and I guess that doesn't work. So I now have them going to two different bolts and it works! Thanks again everyone, and sorry for bugging you with my incompitence.

    Trouble with my amp/subs/electric

I'm sure my headunuit is wired right. I had two different subs and a different amp in before, and everything worked fine. So if something is wired wrong (which it could possibly be), its from my amp or sub. My power/ground cable is 4 gauge. I was thinking, my ground might be a little suspcious...

    Trouble with my amp/subs/electric

Alright, so I was researching the big 3, and this is what I got out of it: Replace the wire from alt. to the battery with 4 gauge (could I go lower than this, to 1/0) Ground alt. Ground battery to chasis (with good wire I suppose, 1/0 again?) Do I have to do all of these? I'm not really sure...

    Trouble with my amp/subs/electric

So you think 85 amps is enough?

    Trouble with my amp/subs/electric

My alternator is 85 amps (at least, I think. It says 85A on it). My power and ground cables are 4 gauge. And, um....Big 3??

    Trouble with my amp/subs/electric

Also, if I do indeed need a new alternator, are alternators car-specific? Or will any alternator fit into any car? If it helps, I have an 87 Camaro.

    Trouble with my amp/subs/electric

Hello everyone. I'm putting in two Audiobahn AW1006T subs in a ported box, and I have about 700 watts going to each, but I have a problem. I start with all my amp settings on the way down, and the subs barely move, but they are working. But whenever I turn the gain or bass boost settings up...
