I took it to circuit city and it turns out that the guy that installed it didn't have enough wire to connect my fuse box to the battery, so he extended it with some basic speaker wire and electrical tape. The electrical tape started to melt away so i was starting to lose all my electronics...

Will 4 1/2 alpine type s's fit into a 99 4runner? the speakers came with the black covers but they dont look like they will fit.

When I started my car last night, my subs came on for about 5 seconds and then shut off. The volume wasn't loud at all and none of the lights on my amp or capacitor are on. Is it a fuse? The radio and speakers still work but my amp and subs wont come on. It has never done this. What's wrong?
