FS: Audible Physics Arians pair, some of the finest 6.5's ever made

If you were going to compare and contrast the two .............the Arians vs the 6.1 FB Pros, how would you say they compare? I'm looking to put together a 3-way setup for my front stage and I really was a very musical 6.5", but also that exhibits good midbass and will make a very clean...

Have a question about Mono amps with Dual Outputs

Hoe Lee Crap ---I knew we had some Coonasses here in LA, but I didn't realize we had us some genu-wine smartasses, as well. Thanks for your reply. If I could be as cool as you and make snarky remarks to guys on the caraudio forums, then maybe one day I could meet you on your long path to the...

Have a question about Mono amps with Dual Outputs

In the Owner's Manual, they actually show the amp in a "bridged" configuration, with a wire going into the positive side of one output and the negative side of the other. Thats actually what confused me to begin with. Then the manual stating that the amp shouldn't see below a 1 Ohm bridged load...

Deciding between 2 amps both rockford fosgate....help

They would both be fine. Would I spend the extra $13 on the newer model? Yeah, probably, but not necessarily because of the new features. Simply because I would generally prefer to have the newest year model. That way, if you ever sell it, the resale value is higher ( in most cases ) Don't let...

Have a question about Mono amps with Dual Outputs

OK, so without getting into a story, all of my older model, larger RF amps either can't be located ( my old 701S ), or crapped out ( the 600s & 800s I bought on the 'bay ). So, I temporarily had my Havoc on an old Punch 400s ( bleh ) Today, however, my RF 1200-1d came in ( got it brand new...

Whats the most watts that I should comfortably be able to run?

Thanks for the answer Lowflyin. I appreciate it! Yes, having decent output from time to time is fine, but I'm never going to compete and I could care less about rattling fellow drivers cars when I pass by. Thats one thing I continue to run into on this forum.........not that its a bad...

optima red top up front xs s3400 in back?

Hey blkvnm, Just to give you an example that might be kinda similar to yours, I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 200 amp Alt, Big 3 in 0/1ga, and a XS 3400 under the hood. At one point I was running a RF Prime 600-4 ( 150 x 4 ), an RF Punch 500-4 ( 250 x 2, 125 x 2 ) , and an RF 801S (...

Which subwoofer shoulld I go for -- Ascendant Audio, JL, Dayton, other?

I don't doubt it, NoLoud4U. I'm just saying that I have always gone sealed and thats what I have preferred. If I had someone like you making my box, I would probably let you convince me to do ported. Alas, I do not. I may try ported sometime soon, tho.

Whats the most watts that I should comfortably be able to run?

Yes AA. I think they are rated 1250 RMS, but I'm guessing that people throw much more at them.

Whats the most watts that I should comfortably be able to run?

Hey guys, Just a quick question, as I've decided that if I'm going to get both Havoc 12's. So, I'm going to want to get a good amp to power them, something that will put out quality power at 0.5 Ohm. Maybe an SQ2200-d So, here's what I've got: 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 200 amp alternator XS...

Which subwoofer shoulld I go for -- Ascendant Audio, JL, Dayton, other?

Louder is not generally what I'm looking for. I've always preferred sealed boxes, but alot of that probably has to do with the fact that I've never taken the time to make sure that I'm tuning a box to the exact specifications or frquencuy of the woofer. I would usually be within the general...

Would you rather have one 12" with 1200-1400 watts or two 12" with 600-700 watts each

Granted, I will admit that the 15's that I was referring to that weren't able to handle the attack speed necessary for my liking were all mainstream subs, some I've owned, others owned by friends-- Kicker, Rockford Fosgate ( except for the old Audiophile series ), Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood...

    2 components vs 4 coaxial

Get a set of good quality Components to put in the front, along with some sound dampening material. That will make a huge difference in the sound quality that you will be able to hear. A set of decent components, along with your sub should be all that you need for the time being. If you want to...

Would you rather have one 12" with 1200-1400 watts or two 12" with 600-700 watts each

Yeah, two 12's is about 50 sq/in more cone area. I've always preferred two 12's to one 15. I feel like the 12's can still hit some of the depth that some 8's and 10's might have a little bit harder time with, but doesn't have the lag and sloppy weight problems that 15's can have. Don't get me...

Would you rather have one 12" with 1200-1400 watts or two 12" with 600-700 watts each

I've got the room ( Jeep Grand Cherokee ), but don't want to utilize all of my cargo space. I've probably got enough for about 2-2.5 cu/ft per woofer. Should have known that folks on this forum are always going to go for the option for bigger, louder, MORE. With regards to the comment on one...
