    Driver speaker set too loud

Hi all, I have the following problem. I have a set of infinity ref 6500cs powered directly from the HU. HU ballance is on 0. My doors are deadened, driver's door a bit more carreful than the other due to fatigue and time. When I drive I hear much louder my side of the car. If I go to the...

getting out the maximum out of the HU for speakers

Well I would not need much more volume actualy, just more bass. But this is a no win situation for me, to remain with the fronts and HU only. Since much bass setting brings clipping. A sub would need an amp and it's the same story again.

getting out the maximum out of the HU for speakers

Hmm, ok external amp. The headunit has only one preamp unfortunately. I think that a 2 channel amp will do, so one channel for each speaker, but what to do with the only one preamp comming out of the HU? This amp thing pisses me off realy, since I have no room to place the amp underneath the...

getting out the maximum out of the HU for speakers

Ok, normaly if I have 22W that means that the speakers would handle it prety good, but they distorsionate at 75% of the volume. It may be clipping from the HU or the static waves behind the speakers. I think I have not yet tuned the HU to work best with the Infinitys. Some suggestions?

getting out the maximum out of the HU for speakers

My HU is a deh-3700 made by Pioneer. It is rated to be 4x27 RMS and 4x45W peak. It currently drives only fronts Infinity ref 6500cs rated to be 90W RMS and 270W peak. So this means that the HU is not powerful enough to run them tehnicaly. I cannot set the HU to go over the 23-24 from the max 30...

Proper Door Sound Deadening and You

When the door si deadened like that does the outer skin still vibrate on heavy midbass? How is the music from the exterior of the car? Without the deadener it can be heared. With the deadener the volume increases of course, but how about the outer level? I have my doors deadened with flashing...

    small subwoofer

Ok, thanks for the replies guys. I know many of you are into competition sound systems so you want loads of bass. My goal is to have clear sound, and I already have it from the fronts. However I had those 5.25 midbasses laying arround and I thought well maybe with a good box design they could...

    small subwoofer

I have one from the latest 7 series. It's the lowrange deh 3700 mp, but I might switch it to the 4700 soon. The only difference I can see between the 3700 and 4700 beside looks for what's interesting in sound quality is that the 4700 has the mosfet amplifier and a little more powerful. My...

    small subwoofer

Thanks for the reply. I understand perfectly the opinion about bigger subs and amps. I have the HU (pioneer) with 4x50 RMS peak and 4x27RMS continuous power as rated by the producer. The Infinity 6.5" components are louder than normal needs and even for more high power usage, or that is what I...

    small subwoofer

I cannot reply to the question of the audio scene in Romania since I'm not into car stereo. I'm just a decent user who wants clear good sound and not extreme figures. That's why I said that something like a normal home-audio 35-50W RMS sub would be enough for what I want. That thing is small but...

    small subwoofer

Hi guys, I have some questions regarding a subwoofer that I consider building. Maybe they are dumb ... you'll be the judge . I'm looking for a small unamplified sub. I'm planning to build a small woofer like those of the home-cinema 5+1 systems. So something like 40-50W RMS. The head-unit...
