    I cant tell because im driving when it happens. Ill try lowering the gain and see if it helps.

    Okay, but my amp isnt cutting out because of heat. It has something to do with driving. When i installed my subs i tested them in my driveway for a while. The system heated up but it never cut out. I can run it all i want in park. It dies within seconds while driving.

    ive had my amp for 2 years. Never cut out once. It's a sony 2200gtx. I was running 2 4 ohm subs in parallel. I just put new subs in that are 4 ohm dvc. They are bridged to 4 ohms.     Forgive me, im a noob. my amp has the following specs: 2 Ch x 200W at 4 ohm 1 Ch x 500W at 4 ohm 2 Ch x 250W at 2 ohm Im looking into new subs (2) that are DVC 4 ohm I understand that i can bridge them 1 ch 500 w 4 ohm paperwork that came with my amp says something about only running 1...
