Had the same trouble a few days ago. Took it to the stereo shop, bought new tweeters & had them installed. Problem solved,blown tweeter was the problem. New tweeters are sounding great.

Thanks ,took my truck into the stereo shop & got the tweeters hooked up & mounted up front & the old tweeters have been disconected. Sounds great .

Okay, sorry I think I used the wrong terminology. I would like a dedicated amp to my 12 " woofers, then a second amp dedicated to my door speakers & back quarter speakers. Does both amps need to be 4 channel amps ?
