i have the CVLs on an alpine pdx-5 and the midbass is not much better than a stock pair of speakers however, the highs are nice and detailed

i liked my image dynamics components. look into the CSX series. i had 2 sets of them in the doors running off a usamps 400x and the midbass was great.

i have a pdx-5 and i like it for several reasons including it's size, power output, and build quality. it really pushes my sub hard but I have noticed a small lack of midbass, which I always thought was due to the components themselves.
