There is no gain it is Bass Boost....same difference but I do know that it can muff things up when setting the gain.

Yes I tuned the sub using 50 htz and set the input sensitivity to my receiver then adjusted the LPF SSF and Bass Boost last to the sub

This was really helpful thank you gstokes! I never expected 100% from the amp bc I definitely checked out the reviews before I purchased the amp I was aware that it does not put out like normal I understood there are ****** versions of the amp and well manufactured ones It was a chance at luck...

Just want to thank you all for the help I am happy with my SSL EVO 4000D it consistently puts out 1850 watts to my 1 L7 even though it says 40000 i know I know but 129$ for 1800 watts is ok with me. Thanks again!

or 2 ohms if it is possible but I clearly asked him about 2 ohms and he clearly stated the sub could only be wired at 1 or 4

So back to my question should I trust the wiring he installed which read 1.2/1.3 ohms or just wire it to 4 ohms?

The dealer put the sub in the box for me told me it could only be wired @ 1 ohm or 4 ohms I looked up the specs for the sub and only found wiring option for 2 ohms I was confused at that point so I felt the need to ask...Thanks for the solid info

Thats the reason why people are riled up when you say you think your amp is too powerful for the sub when its barely enough to move the sub at 1 ohm. 4 ohm. I never said it was too powerful I said "I know it is enough to push one sub" ?????IDK where you got that or why anyone would get riled...

I had it meter tested and i know it is enough to run the L7 there are other ways to give advice nicely without just chiming in with a bash. The amp will do just fine on one sub at what the sub is rated at either 1 ohm or 4 ohms. So please helpful advice only.

Thanx for your response it is my amp not yours so don't worry about what it is putting out! My question was do I need to wire my speaker back to 4 ohms to be on the safe side?

I just bought a 12" L7 and when I bought it I was giving him the specs on the amp I am running which is a 4000 watt Soundstorm SSL EVO which is 4000 watts 1ohm stable, 3000 watts @ 2 ohms, and 1600 watts @ 4 ohms. I only have 1 sub and am wondering if I should wire the sub to 4 ohms to be on the...
