    12 vs. 15 Type R?

I'm not set on a Type R; Looking at the specs for a 12 it says 500w RMS; I thought 400 would be plenty, especially with a ported box.

    12 vs. 15 Type R?

I'm going to take the plunge soon and finally get my system installed. I plan on getting a Type R and it will be fed by a Mcintosh amp pushing 400w. My setup will be geared toward SQ w/ a Denonford HU and Type X comps. I listen to all genres of music. Is there a good reason for me to go with the...

    helping in upgrading? Should I?

The MCC404 is either 100x4 or 400x2. You could also do 100x2 + 400x1; each set of channels that you bridge produces 400 watts, but the THD still stays at .005%. Just from what I've read nferra has the right idea. Scrap the rear fill and put the power to the fronts. Another option is to put 100x2...

I will need a box design...will gladly pay for it

Please hit me up with a PM if interested. I'll give you the dimensions of my trunk and it will be for a 12" Type R dual 4 ohm. I'll be needing some recommendations and advice as well so I'm looking for experienced box builders. Is JMac still out there?

    What's the difference SPL vs.SQ?

SQ = Sound Quality SPL = Sound Pressure Level Systems are usually geared toward one or the other. SQ is self-explanatory; SPL is to get high levels (decibels, or Db) of bass. The panacea of car audio is to achieve both, commonly called SQL. Try doing a search and you will find gads of threads...

Do you suppose this is as good as it appears?

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-FAnx1TahYK1/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=168450&I=5753SIXTY2&search=Rockford+Fosgate+VENDORID575&SearchDisplay=Rockford+Fosgate I will be curious to see how "audiophile" quality this truly is. This could be a good solution for decks that don't have many...

    WTB: Mcintosh R1163

Thanks. The MCC amps are the newer ones; the older styles don't have it.

This is the subwoofer control knob that plugs into MCC amps. Check eBay for references under the same user name.

Crutchfield: hands down the best service.

The sales at Crutchfield can be pretty sweet sometimes. Their Alpine sale before the new models come out is always good. I bought two sets of Type X comps for $150/set. The customer service is second to none, that includes brick & mortar stores too.

What kind of cables does everyone use?

It's time to upgrade my wiring. What are some good but cheap cables? I was thinking about getting some Kunkonceptz ones as they seem to be quite popular on CA.com. Here is a link to the component cables: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KVK-4M Here is a link to Karma Cable...

One of my worst expierences on CA.com MILENKO- Unless he can fix he deserves this!

That's not the point. If you go buy a car that was supposed to come with a moonroof, only to find out it doesn't have one and you paid the same price, would you be pissed? Of course you would. It does not matter what items/how much they are; if the deal was made to include them and they weren't...

    Okay to buy this?

***Update*** So I won the auction Monday morning after doing some research on Denon's website. I noticed, about an hour after the auction was over, that the picture on the auction does not show the remote; Denon's website does. I wrote them an e-mail plus sent them a message through Ebay on...
