Cant bring myself to it. I installed and IDMAX12 a few years back in a buddy's car...sealed box getting ~1000 watts...it died after a few weeks of moderate use. Customer service and repairing it was a nightmare. I'd prefer something a bit more robust....something that can handle 1200-1500 rms...

Budget is pretty flexible, I want something NICE. I listen to a lot of electronic/house/dubstep, hiphop, a lot of reggae, and a little bit of everything else. Need something that can keep up with a fast bass beat but also be able to get low and loud.

I'm looking for two really nice 10's...will be giving them about 1000rms each in my Xterra, box size/type TBD depending upon whatever subs I choose. Looking for something that can hit the quick kickdrums but also handle the lowlows decently. Thanks in advance for recommendations.

congratulations. I still say its user error. Your inexperience and/or stupidity allowed you to push the subs past their breaking point. It is not difficult to tell when you are pushing a sub too hard. Its common sense. Look at the sub. Listen to it at loud volume. I installed a pair of...

i'm gonna side with eD and say it was user error. You seem to have blown quite a few subs. I've owned and used probably around 20 different subs, and hooked up hundreds more. I've never once blown a sub.

I havent been able to find much about this amp...so if somebody wants to write up a review it would be much appreciated. How does it compare to other amps you've used? What is the build quality like? Has anybody opened one up and looked at the guts? Does it run cool?

well i dont know much about raamat but they didnt go from non-existent to being pretty much the leader in sound deadening in like a 2-3 year span.

Somehow I doubt that popularity doesnt at least play a small role in the price increase. If it truly doesnt then congratulations you are the first company to gain popularity and not increase prices along with it.

u dont need to convince me...nearly everything in my system was bought used. I already tried it with this guy but he said no way no how and wouldnt even talk about it after that. New or nothing. SO, if you had 1200 to spend and no more, what equipment would you get?

like i said, its not for me. He had a bad experience with it in the past and doesnt want to have to worry about that again.

i realize he isnt going to have a competition system but he can still get something that sounds decent. I'm just asking for suggestions on what you would get if that was your budget. I havent stayed up with current equipment so I dont know whats good anymore and whats not.

I want a good amount, probably 70-80 sq. ft. I remember the days when you could get a 70 sq.ft. roll of second skin for like $75. Now that he's gained popularity his prices have gone waayyyyy up.
