I was helping my friend install his system.. he already had a amp/subs/crossover.. he added a cap and another amp for his highs.. after we did everything and listen to it.. it sounded nice when it was loud.. but once he started driving.. a high pitched noise coming from the back somewhere...

What amp is it? I have a Memphis 16 PR1KD 1000w amp.. with a cap and crossover.. still cuts out if I turn it to loud.. with the gains almost all the way down.. my friend has the same amp.. his does the same thing.. dunno if its a defect in that certain amp or what.. I have a good ground too...

AutoZone has them for $120.. the one down here does anyway..
