Pretty sure the HU should have speakers of 4Ohm hooked up to it.. and as far as the + and - go.. if those are wired backwards the speakers will just be out of phase and wouldn't sound as good, mids hit at different times..

Thanx coolman, i assume your car sounds ok or else you would have cut the holes out.. anyone else try cutting the holes out of the fatmat?

I mean, do i cut the fatmat to allow for the holes, or just cover the holes with the fatmat?

I have a 12" DVC Audiobahn.. and a saturn, my trunk rattles like a champ.. I'm on the verge of getting fat mat.. probably tomorrow when i get paid.. thing is i'm not 100% on how to install it.. all the little holes in the top of the trunk.. do i cover them with the fat mat, or do i just cover...

I have a 800wrms amp running my 700wrms sub (aw1200q) and it hits nice and clean and loud, if this sub "sucks" so bad man i guess i'm really missing out on what is a good sub... works very well for the average joe..

subs Looks pretty clean except Kenwoods are only good if you listen to mariachi music.. I used to have those subs and they don't get deep at all, but if you like 'em.. cool that's what it's all about, i mean i have audiobahns and i love 'em... peace

I also just recently received my aw1200q except it's a dual 4ohm voice.. so just get an amp that's 2ohm stable (assuming you only have the one DVC).. and hook it up like the diagram above..

Thanx so far for the input, it's actually a *eek* prefab.. but only cause after purchasing my system i had like $30 in the bank.. i'm sure places sell prefab ported boxes but what do you guys think, will they actually know the hz in which they are tuned to? and the lower the relatively better...

My install was done by a very reputible company, many people recommended them and not a person that i know has a complaint about them. btw it's auto sound lab.

I am currently at work right now having my system installed, (very anxious time for any audiophile). I was wondering what you guys think about my system and weather or not it will have enough boom/sq.. I just basically want some feedback on my system, I know you guys have been at this a bit...

I understand legacy's are shit.. but again i'm just telling you my experiences.. although it's true that not many amps can be bridged at 2ohm stable. So do what you want.

Well theoretically yes, but FYI that doesn't always happen, i had a legacy 1000wmax amp and i ran it bridged in 2Ohm and i blew a MOSFET and had to replace it. (lasted bridged at 2Ohm for about 3minutes.)

Most all amps can only be bridged into 4ohms.

I had this same problem with my Legacy amp a while back, turns out i had to replace a MOSFET.. you should look online on how to test them and then test each one of yours.
