Hi guys, my installer recommended non ported box for my Hertz ML3000. Claims although it doesn't bump as much, the bass will be cleaner, tighter and more accurate. Any thoughts? Norby

Hi Guys, Ok, update on MLK2,Lrx5.1,Mille 3000 system setup. Installer came out to my work. First rewired so left and right mids and tweets on correct side. Opened the crossovers and set the tweets to Odb, was set on -1.5db. Dropped the low pass out on the amp. Not sure where it was set, but...

Ok, apparently the opinion is against adding a cap to the system. Can I ask someone to explain why? My friend is pretty knowledgable about car stereo, he even used to work in a speaker production facility. He insists I need a cap. So, why is the list against them?? Thanks,

Installer is coming to my work to fix the crossed leads. I'm hoping the difference is fairly major. I'm also going to have him adjust some of the crossover settings. I'll keep the board posted.

Hi guys, possibly figured out last night why I'm not impressed by my new MLK2's. Turning balance all the way left or right, I figured out that the installer, who IS a certified Hertz/Audison installer, has my tweets and mids cross wired. Balance left, and the left tweeter and right mid is on...

I think we miscommunicated a bit. It's 50 to the tweets, 160 to the mids. I have the suitcase, just not the manual. The D3 has an adjustable EQ as well as presets, but it's annoying because you can't adust the individual bands without effecting the band next to it. I forgot the term for this...
