I have a mrd-605 rated at 600 watts and a 12 inch type r in my car with a alpine head unit, i just got it installed and i really like it. it hits really hard when i get to about like 16, but before that i can't hear it at all, does that mean i need to change my gains or something or what?

Is a alpine mrd-501 too much for a 12 inch type r sub? I kno the ratings are lower but from what i've heard they can handle it

What other amps would you recommend then, because the 501 is a lil pricy, i'm not really crafty at all or do I reallya vhe tote time to make a box, is there anywhere online where i can buy one?

I want to get a 2004 alpine 12 inch type r, which would be better to power it, the alpine 301 or the 501. I'm leaning towards the 301 because its 100 dollars cheaper and i woudlnt' worry about overpowering it, but im also worried its not goin get enough bass. So what do you guys think? ALso...
