Im in love with my 06 L7 and im feeding it double its RMS and have yet to smell the VC's heating up. Sounds pretty good too IMO.

The sound almost sounds like tinsel leads hitting the cone, but it cant be since they are woven... Ill test the vc's when i get off work.

well if you build a ported box, you arent out much money if you arent impressed. Id build the box first, if it didnt meet your expectations, then get the L7s.

The xenons are 100 dollar component set, if you ears have been tainted by many nice comp sets I doubt you would be impressed. I have them and prefer how they sound over the cdt cl61s I had last year..... I havent heard many components just sharing my .02
