    Custom vs Prefab Box

It's just under 32 hz. Like 31.7 or some oddball figure, I forget exactly. It actually sounds really good. The only issue this box has is the group delay is a bit higher than I would prefer but vent velocity is extremely good for this size box. *edit: Since I already have this box modeled out...

    Theoretically, what would happen?

Curious, what would happen if you had a typical, large slotted port enclosure but instead of the sub firing as normal, if you instead faced the sub inside the port itself? So I guess the front wave is firing into the tuned back wave. Would it act as a badly designed bandpass?

    Custom vs Prefab Box

Some forget that not everyone has any tools or may live in an apt and can't build their own. For universal prefabs, I say model out the one you are looking at for a particular sub in BassBox Pro or something and see how it compares to different sizes and tunings. The main thing to watch out for...

Let's look at what fly's carry. But it's bacon...don't waste it and eat that ****

    sundays are for the feggots

Because that's the day that Meth heads and heroin junkies have to run their errands. Then you have the first sunday of each month where all the pajama pants wearing welfare folks drag their carcass's off of the couch and hazily drive their way to the stores while thinking about how many donuts...

    Option is always greyed out.

not familiar with network or standard mode nor what that means. However I think I got it manually tweaked pretty well atm. There's a chance I may not even like the auto EQ, I just wanted to experience what it considers SQ. But my audio sounds as if its comming from the center of my windshield...

    Option is always greyed out.

Pioneer AVH-X3700BHS It has an auto EQ feature I'd like to use where it measures your in car acoustics and sets delay..etc. However, that option is always greyed out and I don't know what to do to use it. The manual is no help, it tells you to turn it on and shows the procedure. Page 45...

    "FrontBass" car audio systems?

I've heard some factory premium systems that sounded great...at least my version of what sounds great. Very punchy, tight and articulate bass, smooth mids and mellow highs. My wife's old car had a factory infinity system with a 6 disc changer and 3 way fronts with the mid and tweeter on the A...

What can I expect if I use a 40hz tune?

I just came across some prefabs that are tuned as high as 53 hz noting it's for those wanting punchier bass....i'm surprised it doesn't hurt the subs during bass drops, at least no one is complaining about such and they keep making boxes like that. I know, but I wouldn't know what to set any of...

What can I expect if I use a 40hz tune?

No I'm trying to cut on space. Otherwise I'd use my W6 12 inch. The port will be long enough as it is, which will probably end up being my next challenge. I'm trying to do a box that's only 5 inches thick but long and narrow...I might only be able to fit .60 ft3 enclosure at max if I go that...

What can I expect if I use a 40hz tune?

Also to note. If I used 2 drivers in that 1 ft3 box, my results went down quite a bit considering the recommended ported size is .50 ft3 for each driver green line is using 2 subs pink is using just the 1. Is this because I'm only using the same output power? I'm only simulating 400 watts...

What can I expect if I use a 40hz tune?

I don't think Slayer or Tool uses a harp or pipe organs. But I do occasionally listen to smooth jazz which may go lower...but it's all MP3's anyway. The last time I used this sub was a sealed enclosure and it had no volume at the lower frequencies...basically just turned into a mid bass driver...

What can I expect if I use a 40hz tune?

I'm going to make use of an 8 inch sub. I have been modeling various box designs in BassBox Pro for this sub and it appears the most efficient using a tune port of 40hz. It measures about 114 db's @42hz. If I do 32hz, it's down to 110db's @42hz and 109db's @32hz and raises quite drastically as...
