I don't need it'll sound like subs. I've never had subs in any car before and I've lived, so that's where my idea of saving money, and (for now) change out the rear speakers for Midbass ones, and install an eq for AUX input

My 2003 VW Golf has 4 6.5" Door Speakers, and 4 tweeters, 2 in back, and 2 in front. Could I get away with mid-bass range speakers in my doors since I have the tweeters? Or at least the back ones? This way maybe I could get by without a Sub (savin money) - NOT that im EXPECTING it to sound...

Think I've decided on this. Eventually I will add a Pioneer 10" 800W Flat Subwoofer (due to the tiny size of my car), and swap out some speakers. NVX XEQ7 1/2 DIN 7-Band Graphic Equalizer w/2 Aux Input, Sub Control

To be honest, I only am Interested in USB for better sound quality, is that right? Or will AUX suffice just fine? Oh and one more question, Is the factory Head Unit in my VW degrading audio quality? or will the EQ fix that up

I just got a 2003 VW Golf, and it has stock sound system. It does have the Monsoon Factory Upgrade, so it has an amp in the back, and gets plenty loud. (I'll most likely change speakers later on once my cash has recovered from that down payment) Only problem, is that the 3 band EQ isn't cutting...
