guys one simple question ... my brother wants to get a kicker solobaric ... he has an alpine pdx1.600 amp ... so should he go for an l5 or can he play an l7 ... the motive is definitely loud bass ... please help out ... p.s he wants to get the 12 inch subs ...

well i opened up the armrest on the rear seat and yeah there is a hole that leads to the trunk ... but that doesn't help much ... my system is loud but it's losing efficiency because of all the rattling ... just talked to a friend who suggested installing a kicker kx3 crossover with subsonic...

guys i mentioned that i have unwanted trunk rattles in another post ... one of my friends suggested installing a kicker kx3 crossover with subsonic filter option ... he says sub sonic filter eliminates the unwanted frequencies that cause the rattles ... will it really help?

guys my type r 12 sounds really loud from the inside and when i keep my trunk open but it's quite disappointing when the trunk is closed ... i was thinking of covering the trunk walls with foam ... will that help? ... we don't get dynamat or anything of that sort in this part of the world ... so...

ok here's my scene ... both my car and my battery are new ... my system is wired according to the 'big 3' suggestions and i believe the wires i used are good for the job ... i previously used to jbl gtos (600 rms total) through the same amp and head unit (cde 9884) ... but the amp turned off...

guys i am running an alpine type r 12 through a pdx1.600 and my amp turns off at times when i am close to the max volume ... i have a new car battery and from where i come from this is the best i can get ... someone suggested that i use a capacitor ... will that really help? does a capacitor...

finally ... got the type r 12 ... put it in an alpine specified ported box and im already in love with it ... and the best part is that it's yet to break in and sound better ... beats my 2 gtos by far ... i ordered a second one immediately after listening to what one of these can do ... worth...

well i don't have the exact dimensions at the moment ... but i am sure i can fit a regular 1.75 cu box in my trunk ...

hmm ... can anyone send me a design for a single type r 12 ported box ? ... as far as i know they need a 1.75 cu ported box for optimum performance ... that size is fine with my trunk ... so i would really appreciate it if someone helps me out with a design as they are pretty confusing according...

@asianinvasion21: i would love to get one type r and if i can manage enough cash then i'll surely go for another type r powered by one more pdx1.600 ... but if i get one type r with a perfect ported enclosure with my current pdx1.600 amp, will it sound significantly better than my current setup...
