You may have a short somewhere... can you try re-grounding your amplifier in a different spot?

Here is the model # for the speakers. Kicker CVX124 (10CVX124) I'd love to just get the amp and order those Shok Woofers but I kinda need something tonight... like literally in 2 hours I have a chance to take this deal or not.

Thanks for your input. I'm really leaning towards the 2x 12 CVX's in the ported box... yeah I listen to reggae, but I didn't want it to be a deciding factor. Will a Kicker ZX1000 be enough power for the 2 12 CVX's?

They probably are, I'm not an expert so thats why I came here for a bit of help. Although, I did find 2 Kicker L5's in an original Kicker Box enclosure going for $300... (it also comes with a zx750.1 amp but I heard the cutoff on it is 50hz) is this a good buy? At the local pawn shop. Obviously...
