I must have it wired down to 4 Ohms. heh. I just found my manual, I don't know where I got 1 Ohm from.

Yea, that's what I saw too. I'm sure I have it wired down to 1, I'll check it tomorrow to make sure. Weird because I'm sure it said it was 400W @ 1Ohm when I first got it.

It's from last year. It's one of the chrome ones.

Yea, I'm running it off the rear channels of a Orion 800.4. :/ EDIT: I think I'm just going to give the RL-P a shot. If it isn't responsive enough in my ported I'll switch to sealed. Thanks for all the help guys.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Do you have any other suggestions other than the RL-P? I hear the RL-P doesn't handle double bass (I listen to a mix of hard rock/rap) to well, so I'm second guessing on buying one. I'm limited to a Dual 2 ohm woofer since I have to wire down to 1ohm on my amp. The...

Hey everybody, I was looking at a new 12 to replace my IDQ and ran across the SSD. Will giving the SSD only 400W RMS be sufficient enough, or am I better off getting an RL-P or a different subwoofer?

Just an update. I finally got the box done and boy does it sound great. Better than my sealed box. It can handle fast double bass better than my sealed and can dip into the low end with authority. I'll never go back to sealed boxes again.

I'm going to be running 6.5" Rainbow Profi Vanadium Kickbass in my door and am planning to put 4" Profi Vanadium Mid-ranges in the kickpanels. Will the 4" be a nice compliment to the kickbass, or should I opt for a larger speaker such as 5.25"?

Hmm. I'll try redoing my kickpanels again since that's the best option. I just wanted to jump on doorpods since they would be less of an obstruction.

Doh..didn't know those even had a name. So aiming is better than not aiming? And what's time alignment?
