Hey guys I really need some help. I need to determine if its the fault of the head unit or the amp? What can i do to find out. I have no other amps or head units to test with.

about 45-50%, if I go any lower on the gain I end up maxing out the volume range on the head unit

well i tested the current RCA cables and thats not the problem. I wired it up in a 4 channel setup and getting the same problem but only on the rear speakers, which is the same channels i was running off of while bridged. Its either the Amp or the head unit, ill switch the RCA cable tomm. and...

ok, i'll add in another set of RCA cables tonight and let you guys know if it fixes my problem, it's logical that it would.

I'm not sure how to troubleshoot an amp to see if stable or getting low impedance.

Maybe, I may just need to get me a new amp considering that my amp is about 13 years old, lol. The amp ran retail from 1997-1998. didn't realize it was that old.

Hey guys great news, I figured out my problem. It was my head unit causing the noise. I installed another one and crystal clear audio now. It was worth the 3.5 hrs labor installing all of the stuff. Im gonna get a new head unit with the accessories that I want now, and display.

Hey the filter I got at radio shack works a little too well. filters some freq, in the music. Should I install another set of rca cables?

picked up a noise filter from radio shack and solved my interference issue. thanks guys for all of the help.

I ran the rca sown the middle of the car with them kinda bunched up under the drivers seat under the carpet. they could be close to the batt cable but not too close though.
