So here's my problem, I had to replace the front speakers in my truck because the factory pair shit the bed. So, I have a nice new pair of Alpine SPR-17S speakers that sound like crap because I'm still using the stock HU. They have an RMS rating of 110 so I know I should get a HU and amp, but...

You'll have to pardon my ignorance here because a lot of this is new to me, but, I installed component speakers with a crossover. Shouldn't the crossover do that?

Oh crap...so I have to buy an amp and HU...this project just got more involved... Thanks again...

Thanks for the info guys. I should prob post this under a different category, but seeing as you know what speakers I'm using, any suggestions on an HU and/or what type of power ratings I should look for?

From the reading I've done, I believe the wiring is as follows: HU to Amp to Crossover to Speakers Again, I'm a novice, so double check that.
