As the title says my amp dosent work. i hooked everything up and the power light is on. but when i hook up the sub it hardly moves. does anyone know what the problem might be or has anyone ever had this probem before.\ thanks -rick- oh. the Amp is the JL 500/1 and the sub is a JL 12w6v2

what is ment is where do i put the + / - ends of the meter and do the subs need to be powered?

I have my subs all wired but i am unsure if its correct, is their any way to check the Ohms with a Ohms meter. and if so How? Thanks for the Help -Rick-

hello, As the title says, when i went to go hooked up my JL 500/1 amp it started to smell like it was buring, and no sound came out of the subs. just wondering if anyone has ever had this issue or if anyone knows how to fix it. if it helps the smell was strongest by the power wire. thanks -Rick-

Thanks for the Replys. i think im going to run them at a 4 ohm load, but i do plan on getting another 500/1 so each sub would have a amp. for everyone who has this sub, do you like it? i bought two on eBay 3 months ago and never set them up, just wondering what i should expect. thanks -rick-
