Can you take the volume limit off the stock head unit? you can spin it forever and the volume only reaches a certain point, a very low one at that. anyone know any way to take it off?

I want to put an alpine unit i had previously in a 19991 Honda Accord, into a 1996 Honda Odyssey. First off, does anyone know how to take the stock one out? And my second question is since it was in a Honda before, do you think the adapter will be the same?
