    2005 F-150 Lariat - Radio/Stereo removal

Yes the trim around the stereo just pops right off, then 4 small screws and the radio is out. Honestly the easiest car to jack a HU, unfortunately for us.

    Looking for a 6.5 sub

The Exodus Anarchys are monsters for 6.5s. 13mm one-way xmax with the XBL motor and inductance shorting rings = clean clean bass and surprisingly solid low frequency extension for a driver this small. I love mine.

    FLAC support for headunits?

If you use Apple LossLess files on the Ipod, make sure you are giving the signal through the dock port, NOT the 3.5mm minijack. If you go through the headphone jack the signal is going through the Ipod's crappy amplifier and you can get a loss of SQ. Also, make sure you turn the Ipod's EQ to the...

Which amp would you use to power this subwoofer?

Those V3 IDQs are happy with 300-600w RMS.

    8" SQ suggestions?

The Dayton HF 8 has been mentioned a could times, excellent option. Another very budget oriented SQ 8" would be the CSS Trio8. Won't have the SPL of the DD or Sundown, but with the XBL motor and triple copper shorting rings, its going to be sqeaky clean with zero distortion. Superior build...

Question on the US Amps Xterminator XT1000D

Never used that particular one, but previously used the XT1600.2 and 800.2 amps. Both had no floor noise and pushed my front stage speakers without even getting warm, decent budget amplifiers. Also bridged the 1600.2 on a sub for a while without problems. That particular one (1000D) might be...

TBI tweets. Anybody ever heard of them???

Depending on where they are mounted, on/off axis, power etc you never know how they will sound crossed at certain frequencies. Play around with them at different locations, different settings until you find the best spot/settings for your particular vehicle/install.

TBI tweets. Anybody ever heard of them???

Thats me! I had them in my truck with ID OEMs run active for about a year. I liked that setup quite a bit, it was my first active setup. The tweeters are quite versatile, pretty smooth down to aorund 2.5k. They aren't the most detailed sounding, but not super laid back either. They dont'...

Active with Peerless Exclusive and HDS

Maybe the Seas RNX series? They are about the same price as the Peerless exclusives but have almost double the peak-to-peak excursion...should get some nice midbass out of them. Midrange detail might not live up to the Peerless though. I'm considering these mids as well to potentially replace...

    My SAZ-1000D sucks!

At least you have good taste in tweeters, head unit and deadener.
