yup, im gonna pretend that i didnt read the part about not suggesting different components. but for about $180 you can get a set of zapco iForce component speakers. the mounting depth is fairly deep so you might have to build out your mounting baffle with some rings. but for the price...

ive heard of guys using margarin containers as "baffles" to keep water and grime from getting on the speakers. ive also heard of guys ghetto rigging a pair of margarin containers together as an aperiodic baffle. im actually planning on building an enclosure for a pair of woofers on my door...

picked up another set of DLS UP6i components for my ride on a trade, but they didnt come with crossovers. i was wondering if it were possible to wire the pairs of tweeters and woofers in parallel into the crossover, and then from the crossover into the amp. or if i needed to pick up another...
