If this wire is meant to be wired into th parking brake switch wouldn't it require some current.?

Hi folks I'm new around here and want to pick your brain. I'm going tobe installing a Pyle PLDINTV7 in-dash LCD/DVD and there is a wire that activates the safety switch not allowing the screen to operate unless the parking brake is engaged. In this case it is a Blk/Wht wire. I need to know how...
