the 880 has advanced segment type burr brown dac's.

i have heard 780mp and 860mp on the same setup and the 860 had better sq than 780.

almost all blaupunkt hu have a ir sensor for remote that u can conn to the back of hu and u can place the sensor anywhere u like

havent heard 880 or 7000 but i have 860mp and it beats alpine 9835 9855 in sq. What i mean to say is dont go with the hype and listen to both hu on the same setup and than decide.lol

bro, if u want sq get the 680 better still get a used 860

the 20khz eq on the 780 does`nt make any difference as far as i can tell.also i checked both the hu`s without an amp so the preout voltage does`nt make any diff. still the 860 sounds better .

reset the unit buddy .with a good setup i will sound good on even the flat setting

the 8850 in states is p780mp.i have heard both thr 860mp and 780mp to me the 860mp sounds better on the same setup . iguess i will be going for 860mp.

so guys it means a 13 band geq in 860mp will perform better than 3 band parametric in p8mp with seperate bass&treble controls
