no i am saying he said 16 to 18 for amp to terminal cup to subs. the best buy people sayd 14 works for 100 rms for door speakers. its the same wire isnt it? speaker wire and wire from amp to subs?

ok thanks. i as going to run 12 awg to my door speakers 100rms each becuase the guy at best buy told me they use 14 awg for the same speaker. so you only need 16 to run 800rms?

what awg wire should i run from the amp to the terminal cup? and from terminal cup to the subwoofers? they are 2 type r 12 running on a hifonics bxi 1606 thanks

i have a 1997 ford escort i think the alt is like 86 amps or 95 something like that. i am connecting a hifonics brutus 1606 and a 100 rms x 2 amp. do i need to change my big 3 wires and get cap? i willnt fry the alt will i?

well to build kick panels how do i go about it? i cant fiber glass. does it just have to be a sturdy peice of mdf attached to the door?

would it sound bad because the waves would mix. i read some where you dont want them mixing before getting to your ear

well the problem is not the door panel i would rip out the grill area part but the window crank would be in the way. what if i car a second hole down the door some more and sealed the hole there already? or cut the window crank off and reatched knob?

well i am new to this been reading a bunch of stuff but i dont understand door speakers because the door is not sealed. could you please explain the diffrence? and is a baffle like a kick panel?

well i was going to ues some sturdy metal L brakets. but if i can get them hanging in a sturdy secure way would it sound ok. this is my first system i am not looking for amazing sound quality. the other place i could think of is in the back pointing forward but they would be right above 2 alpine...

well i dont care about the look. the speakers are to deep for my door panels. and what is the diffrence from having in your door or hanging when it comes to sound quality i am trying to get a idea on the best way to do this.

would it work ok if i hung 6.5 coaxial speakers from the roof of my car a little behind the front seats pointing at ears?

i am not worried about looks. if its mounted to the floor or door would it not work if its angled up at ears?
