    bass boost on amp was half way and a 1/4 way on the remote, gain i think was about half way, the sub was in a ported box designed for the sqaures....the box cost me over 100 bucks alone..

    im not 100% sure, but i cant see any damage, so i assume the coil is fried.....

    i got a blown s12L7, does anyone know if its possible to get repaired???.....kicker offers a trade in of like 20 bucks, and warranty was for only 30 days, only used the **** thing for like 2 months, pushed it with a kx600.1, please help...

    problem with a s12l7 and a kx 600.1

    I am running one kicker s12l7 in a 2.5 cu. ft ported box and a kicker kx 600.1, the amp puts out 600 rms max, and the speaker should handle 750 rms max, so how come when i turn up the gains and bass boost on the amp past 1/3 of the way, i smell my speaker burning?? please help!
