I measured the voltage at the battery and it reads around 12.5v. Also should the LOC be tapped into the factory amplifier in the trunk or would tapping it at the Head unit before going to the amplifier be the better solution?

I have a friend who's birthday is coming up and I was looking to get him an amplifier since he already has subs in his car but currently has no amplifier. I was wondering if anyone could recommend an amplifier that would do 500-600rms @2ohms for less than $100? Thanks.

Aren't paper cones more susceptable to moisture?
