I was curious and wondered the approximate db this system would hit. jbl 1200.1 2 dual 4 punch hx2s ran @ 1 ohm its in a van, but how many db in a trunk? Of a 97' Civic?

I have the same amp and subs. The only thing that popped in my head was if you had a good enough ground for your amp. Or a fuse in the amp.

I would go thunder 8000 anyday even though they're in ta ported box. They still probably hit harder. WOs have to small power handling even if they're under rated.

Actually I probably do see more sealed boxes. They hit harder. Sealed boxes put out real low bass and in my opinion doesn't sound the way music is meant to sound.

Well it sounds like you got money. buy another amp. Those subs can take a lot more power. And get some spokes to ride on. They look good on just about anything. If i was you i would go for rims since you have a system already.

You can't hook up 2 dvc 4 ohm subs at 2 ohm. Either 4 or 1.

What do you mean by speaker set? 6x9s 5 1/4s or component system? For speakers Infinity Kappas,or Kenwood Excelons are real good.

w6s do kick @$$. If you dont have that $ go hx2s, if still not enough $$. then go he2 or w3s.

It will make a tiny difference in sound. But so small you wouldn't notice as long as it's big enough awg.

Buy a decent amp first.It really doesn't pay to go cheap in the long run.

just buy a higher amp alternator or get yours rewound. Then get 3 farad cap. They're not that much more money.You should be able to do this for under $400.

You'll want a cap if your alternator isn't enough amps to power your system. And if your alterna. is big enough, then it's whether you got tha dough.

I have 2 hx2s. Never heard power hx2s but i think 2 is bettr than the one. I thi think they'll handle power better. and more surface area hitting the bass.
