Please help me figure out what I need

Would this sub sound better in a ported box? I'm more interested in sq but it obviously won't make any difference if I can't hear it in the first place. Also, the sub is rated at 175 rms, but its a DVC so does that mean 175 total or each coil? Thanks.

Please help me figure out what I need

That's what I was afraid of, trying to avoid that due to more complicated wiring and lack of space. Should I just power the speakers off the head unit (which will be 4X25 RMS) and get a mono amp for the sub? Is there a small enough amp that I can power a 4 ohm DVC sub at 175 RMS that I can...

help me wire my first sub

Sorry for my overwhelming newbieness, but do you mean i basically only need a single wire running from the sub to the box? If so, do i only need to connect to one "prong" on the plus and one on the negative terminals on the sub? Thanks again.

help me wire my first sub

Tommy was right, it is a single voice coil. Anyways, i figured out that i have to connect wire using two "female" connectors from the two-pronged thing on the sub to the connector on the box. Now my question is what do i use to go from the speaker wire to the single "male" connector on the...

help me wire my first sub

I've got a Kicker Comp 12" sub that i'm installing into a box and i'm stumped on how to wire it. Its got a 2-pronged connection for positive and negative (one for each on opposite sides of the sub). What kind of connector do i use for those (no soldering)? Also, once i have those wired how do...

    Kicker '03 C124

I just ordered one of these subs for $45 off of ebay. I know its not much (being a 150w sub) but will it be enough to compliment my music somewhat. I'm not into ground shaking power or anything so i figured this would be a good sub, at least to start out with. Also, i plan on getting infinity...

    Amp setup questions

Hey, this is my first post but i've already learned a lot just by browsing these boards. Anyways, i drive a 2001 Dodge Neon and have a Kenwood KDC319 HU with stock speakers. I'm soon going to get Infinity reference 6.5's (60W RMS, 4 ohm) in the front and Infinity reference 6x9's (100W RMS, 4...
